Google Chrome allows to create separate user profiles. Creating multiple user profiles will enable you to separate your chrome preferences like themes, bookmarks, settings, etc from others' on the same computer. For example, If you're 4 members in your family say You, Your wife, Mom and Dad. You can create a 4 separate profiles, one for each of you. Google web fonts is a repository of hundreds of awesome fonts that are specifically designed for web. These fonts are hosted on google.com and can be easily used in your website by adding few lines of CSS or JavaScript in your webpage. All these fonts are offered under Open Fonts License so you can use it even in your commercial projects without any licensing.

The Andorid powered smart camera launched during an electronic trade show - IFA, Berlin. To keep up with the technology pace, Nikon has also launched its own Android Powered camera - Coolpix S800c. It will be available from this September.

Label As You Send - Gmail


Labeling and Staring mails are ways to organize your inbox in Gmail. However, when it comes to sent mails – one has to compose and send the mail before applying a label to it. Lately, Gmail introduced the Label as you send feature that overcomes the problem aforementioned. It makes your tracking for your sent mails much easy.

The new feature by Gmail allows you to apply a label using label drop-down menu, while you are writing a mail. You should note that it is for the manageability purpose only; receiver at the other end won’t see such labeling.

  • Open Labels drop-down menu
  • Select appropriate label(s) and then click Apply button located at the end of drop-down. You can create a new label if the desired label is not there in your labels list, by clicking Create new button from the Labels drop-down menu itself.

That’s all. Now, you can keep track on sent mails through these lovely labels!




Create Events In Google+

Events by Google+
Lately Google+ introduced a feature called Events. The coolest feature ever seen in social networks, that isn't only a calendar or invitation service. Instead, it allows all the people invited to the event can contribute to a photo pool based around it.

While Facebook events are aimed towards getting people together. Google+ helps people to plan beforehand as well as share experiences during and after event.

Follow these steps to create events:

  • log in into your Google plus account and click Events in the left hand menu.
  • Click on the Create Event button on the top-right corner. Then you will see a Create Event dialog as following image. Fill the details of your event like Event title, date, location, etc. In the Invite Names box enter individuals or circle(s) to whom you wish to invite.

  • Click Event Options to set other options for your event.
    • Basic Options
      • You can set if the guests can invite other people.
      • You can set if the guests can upload photos to the event.
    • Create an online-only hangout - Google plus allows to create Google+ hangouts as events - so it's an online only gathering with your friends.
    • Make the event public - By default, Google plus event are only visible to the invited people. But, you can make the public events from the Advanced options.
    • Add additional fields to your event - If you'd like to add a YouTube link, transit/parking information, or other details to your event information, check the Show additional fields option.
  • Select the appropriate theme that best represents the event you are planning for. Click Change theme at the top to choose the theme.
  • Click Invite button. You will be directed to the new event's page.
That's all! Your event should have been created now. Now, you and other invited people can RSVP to your event with Yes, May be or No from Are you going? options list. You can track total number of people attending your party. 
  • You can add photos by clicking Add Photos button on the top of event page from your computer, tablet or mobile devices. Uploaded photo will appear in the event wall.

  • Google automatically creates a new album for all of the images you uploaded to an event. So, that way you can access these photos from albums page and from event page.
  • Once you add more than one photo to the event, the Slideshow option will be enabled to allow you to play slideshow of all pics.
Android users can share pictures and videos in real time with Party Mode on the Android app. Turn on party mode when you are in event, and any photos and videos you take there can instantly be shared with everyone at the event.
  • You can share events by clicking the Share button in events page. It will make the event visible to people outside the guest list.

Compare and Combine Documents In Word 2007


Many finished documents, books and magazines are examples of team efforts where people work together to create some polished product. There are times when you involved with a single document that was created and modified by some others from your group. Such team work can be easily handled by using comparison tools available in Microsoft Word 2007.

Compare and Combine documents

Compare and Combine options provides you a way to differentiate two documents to review changes such as formatting and white spacing along with word level or character level changes. This option can be useful situations where you need to expedite a review process by giving separate copies of original document to reviewers. Upon return of documents by reviewers, you can combine the changes into a new document or just compare two versions of a document to look at the differences.

Tip- If you’ve document with tracked changes but not the original document, then make a copy of document with tracked changes and reject all changes. It will create an original copy of document that you can use either compare or combine features.

Although Compare and Combine look similar features, there is a difference between them. Compare is generally used to comparing the differences between two documents, and Combine is used to compare two or more documents as well as to identify who changed what in the document.

You can specify the types of changes you want to compare like formatting, white spaces, and word or character level changes. The Compare and Combine features can be found under Review tab in the Compare group.

Compare two versions of document

Compare simply compares two documents. Additionally, all revisions in document are attributed to a single author. Follow these steps, to compare two versions of one document:
  • Open Review tab, click Compare, and then from list, click Compare. It will open Compare Documents dialog box.
  • In the Original document area select/browse the original document.
  • In the Revised document area select/browse the original document.
  • Click More to show the advanced options for Compare Documents.

  • Click OK. The original and revised documents will remain unaltered and a new Compared Document is created.
  • To view all three versions of the document at once, click Show Source Documents on the Review tab, and then click Show Both. This will enable you to view tri-pane review panel containing original, revised and compared document.

The new Compared document displays the changed text in an unnamed document file. You need to save and name the file if you want to store it for future use.

Combine documents from multiple authors

Using this feature you can combine or merge two or more documents. Word will keep all modifications as tracked changes, made to original and revised documents. All authors are identified and their revisions are combined into one document. Follow these steps to use Combine features:
  • Open Review tab, click Compare, and then from list, click Combine. It will open Combine Documents dialog box.
  • In the Original document area select/browse the original document.
  • In the Revised document area select/browse the original document. The following image shows the combination of two sample documents as a Combined Document.

Manage Cookies And Site Data In Chrome


Like Google as default home page, Google Chrome is default browser for most of users. There are lots of features like Speed, Security, Extensions, Clutter free design, and more that attracts us to use Chrome.

Cookie and Site data management is one of the advance features in Chrome. You have complete control over cookie permissions and site data in Chrome. All cookies are allowed by default but you can change this setting anytime. You will see a special icon at the end of address-bar when cookies have been set or blocked on the page.

Cookies are files created by websites you've visited that store browsing information, such as your site preference or profile information. There are two types of cookies :
  • First Party Cookies: Set by the site listed in the address bar.
  • Third Party Cookies: Cookies that belongs to other domain that have items like images or ads, embedded on the page.
You should be aware enough about the cookie settings because cookies can allow websites to track your every move on internet during visits to those sites. One should only allow the trusted sites to keep their cookies to be stored permanently on browser.

Cookies and Site Data Management in Chrome

You can delete all cookies or selected one from Cookies and site data window. Open Cookies and site data window by entering chrome://chrome/settings/cookies in address bar. Chrome will open the following window from where you can delete the selected cookies or all cookies.




Delete all cookies

To remove all cookies in a single go, click Remove All button. It will remove all the cookies from your Chrome.

You can delete specific cookie by selecting or searching the site that issued the cookie and then click the “X” button on the extreme right of the cookie row.

You can also choose to remove cookies that have been created during specific time period like, cookies created from the past hour, the past day, the past week, the last 4 weeks or the beginning of time. You can find this option by entering chrome://chrome/settings/ClearBrowserData in address bar.

Clear all cookies automatically


If you want Google Chrome to automatically delete cookies when you close all your browser windows, select the “Keep local data only until I quit my browser” checkbox in the Content Settings window. You can find this option by entering chrome://chrome/settings/content in address bar.

Cookie and site data exceptions

You can also make exceptions so that specific sites’ cookies are deleted whenever you close your browser. To control how cookies should be handled for a few specific sites or domains, open the Cookie and Site Data Exceptions window by entering chrome://chrome/settings/contentExceptions#cookies in address bar.

To add a rule in the Cookie and Site Data Exceptions window, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Add a new exception pattern field and enter the domain name for which you want to create an exception.
    • To create exceptions for an entire domain, insert [*.] before the domain name (e.g.[*.]google.com. This will match account.google.com and drive.google.com or anything else that is followed by google.com).
    • You can also specify an IP address, an IPv6 address, or a non-http URL.
  2. Use the menu to choose whether the site can set cookies. If you select Clear on exit, its cookies are deleted every time you close your browser.
You can also edit or remove exceptions using this window.

Private Browsing (Browsing Incognito mode) is still smart way to browse the internet if you don’t wish to store browsing history, cache and cookies once you are done with browsing. All latest browsers support the private browsing mode, to know more visit Enable Private Browsing in browser.

Adding Text To Photos - Google+

A simple image can turn into a funny image, if one can add some words/text on image before sharing with your Google plus circles. Of-course you can use some image processing software to do the same, but it is tedious and time consuming.

Google+ continuously adding new features to give better social network experience. Lately, Google+ introduced a feature to add big, bold text on your photos before sharing with your circles.





You can try it out, by adding a photo to your sharebox in Google+, then click Add Text button underneath the photo. You will be presented with a picture on right side and 3 textbox on left side to add text on picture.


The 3 textbox allows you to add text at top, middle and bottom of the image. After adding text click Save button.

Create Template In Microsoft Word

A template is a kind of document which creates a copy of itself when you open it. So, if you are using some word documents frequently then it makes sense to create a template. Microsoft Office 2007 allows you to create a template by saving a document as a .dotx file, .dot file or .dotm file (.dotm file type enables to use macros in the file).

For example, a letterhead is a frequently used document in any organization/firm. Letterhead usually consists name, address and logo of an organization and sometimes a background pattern. Instead of creating a document having such fixed info. from scratch, you can use a template with a predefined page layout, fonts and margins. All you have to do is open a template document fill in some text and info. that is specific to your document. Upon saving a document as a .doc(x) or .docm file, you save your document separately from the template on which it is based.

Save as a template


You can start with a blank document and save it as a template, or you can create a template that is based on an existing document. For the sake of simplicity, we will see how to create a template from a blank document.

Save As - Word Template
  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button on extreme top-left corner, and then click New.
  2. Click Blank document, and then click Create.
  3. Make the necessary changes that you want to the page layouts, margin settings, font styles, Headers & footers, etc. You can also add instructional text and content controls such as date pickers, and image that you want to appear in all new documents that you base on the template.
  4. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Save As.
  5. In the Save As dialog box, do one of the following:
    • On a computer that is running Windows Vista, under Favorite Links, click Templates.
    • On a computer that is running Windows XP, under Save in, click Trusted Templates.
  6. Give the new template an appropriate file name, Select Word Template in the Save as type list, and then click Save.
  7. Close the template.
By default, user template files are stored in following locations:

In Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\<your_account_name>\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates

In Windows Vista or Windows 7
C:\Users\<your_account_name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

To create documents based on this template, click the Microsoft Office Button and select New. Click My Templates in the left pane. In the box that opens, select your template and click Ok
The opened file will function like a template but it's just a copy of template as a standard document type.
